Gal Gadot (Hebrew: גל גדות, born 30 April 1985) is an Israeli actress, producer, and former model. She gained worldwide recognition for portraying Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe, a performance widely praised for redefining the iconic superhero for a new generation and establishing her as one of Hollywood’s leading actresses. In 2018, Gadot was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world and ranked by Forbes as the tenth-highest-paid actress, later rising to third-highest in 2020. In 2025, she became the first Israeli actor to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Before beginning her acting career, Gadot was crowned Miss Israel 2004 and later represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant. She subsequently transitioned into acting, earning international attention as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious franchise before achieving global stardom as Wonder Woman. Beyond acting, she has also built a successful career as a producer through Pilot Wave Motion Pictures, developing projects with a focus on compelling, character-driven stories. Gadot first portrayed Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
