The Biography

Friedrich Weinreb (also Fryderyk, Frederik, or Freek Weinreb; Lemberg, present-day Lviv, November 18, 1910 – Zurich, October 19, 1988) was a Dutch-Jewish-Hasidic storyteller, writer, doctor of economics, astrologer, and convicted swindler. Weinreb posed as a gynecologist and as a "professor." He was at the center of various scandals, of which the so-called Weinreb Affair, concerning his activities during the German Occupation 1940–1945, was by far the most important.
