Juliana Bergstrom

The Biography

Juliana Bergstrom is an award-winning filmmaker and performer. She grew up in the dance studio and enjoyed a professional dance career with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Disney, and the CFL before shifting her focus to acting, producing, and screenwriting. Bergstrom turned her first-ever screenplay into a short film called "Harbour," which she stars in and executive produced. It has won more than a dozen awards on the international film festival circuit and was licensed by CBC's Canadian Reflections to stream on CBC Gem from 2025 to 2028. Other producing film credits include: The Stepmom, a short drama based on Keara Barnes' one-woman play, and Brenda Whitehall's feature-length documentary Beyond The Podium: Celebrating Canadian Women Champions that highlights the accomplishments of 15 Canadian women winter Olympians and Paralympians as told by a women-identifying and non-binary filmmaking team. The award-winning documentary was produced with the support of Canada Council for the Arts and Creative BC-Rogers Media. Bergstrom is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States and trains in both Vancouver, B.C. and Los Angeles, CA. She has acted in several films and plays and was 1st Assistant Director for the award-winning independent films The Stepmom, Remnants, and Yaye.
