Andy Brown
The Biography
Andy Brown is an American actor, screenwriter and director from from New York City. He went to film school at Columbia University. His acting credits include: the feature films Swingin' in the Painter's Room (1988) and The Daytrippers (1997), both directed by his Columbia classmate Greg Mottola; and the short-lived MTV series Austin Stories (1996). As a writer, he co-created the web series The Horrible, Terrible Misadventures of David Atkins, which was screened at the 2010 New York Television Festival. He also worked in series development for Marshall Brickman and Castle Rock Entertainment. As a director, he co-directed with film editor Anne McCabe the 2002 mockumentary feature Pop Life. In 2022, he co-directed the music documentary Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill with film school classmate Brian Lindstrom.
