The Biography

Barry Keegan was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Keegan began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the Stewart Granger adaptation "Footsteps in the Fog" (1955), "Satellite in the Sky" (1956) and the James Stewart suspenseful adaptation "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956). He also appeared in the thriller "The Safecracker" (1958) with Ray Milland. He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in "Gideon's Day" (1959) with Jack Hawkins, "Moment of Danger" (1960) with Trevor Howard and "Gorgo" (1961). He also appeared in "King of Kings" (1961). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the dramatic adaptation "Billy Budd" (1962) with Terence Stamp, the adaptation "In Search of the Castaways" (1962) with Maurice Chevalier and the Peter Sellers comedy "The Wrong Arm of the Law" (1962). He also appeared in "A Walk With Love and Death" (1969) with Anjelica Huston. Keegan more recently acted in "Flight of the Doves" (1971).
