The Synopsis

Three powers collide: political power, military power, and financial power. The head of a small municipality in Morocco has used every conceivable means to run for office once again and hold on to all present and future privileges. Yet an unforeseen disaster strikes, complicating his maneuvers: his son has killed a woman. Two other contenders step into the ring for the same position: a former military officer, and a wealthy landowner backed by his son, a senior banking executive. Weaving through this tale are other stories glimpsed through the prism of reading, overlapping and colliding with one another...
