Celtic Tides is a musical and cultural journey from the Old World to the New. It celebrates the best of Celtic music and explores today’s vibrant Celtic music and dance scene through 13 exciting performances and many fascinating interviews. Travel to Ireland, Scotland and Eastern Canada to visit artists such as the Chieftains, Loreena McKennitt, Clannad, Mary Black, Altan, Ashley MacIsacc, Natalie MacMaster, The Rankin Family, Capercaillie, Dougie MacLean, Solas, Mary Jane Lamond and Old Blind Dogs. These interviews and performances are filmed against the dramatic backdrops of beautiful rugged landscapes, ancient Celtic ruins and windswept ocean shores, revealing the connection between the music and the lands where the music originates.
