The Synopsis

“zwischen Gebäuden” is a feature film based on passages from Robert Walser’s draft "The Robbers". It depicts encounters between a man who doesn’t know what he wants and those who do. He lives his bewilderment with determination. Always there for everyone, he eludes any sign of being tied down. Without a plan, he has everything ahead of him. Unbound by anything, he robs those who are bound of their steadfastness. Without fixed ideas, he is radically human. Unattached, he loves all those who are rooted. They find it hard to let him go, useless and unworkable as he is.
