The Synopsis

A comprehensive study exploring the origins and fall of the Old Rus' pantheon of gods worshiped by the ancestors of Ukrainians. The film covers the emergence of the Slavs as an ethnic group and the Christianization of Kievan Rus, delving into Prince Volodymyr’s inner state and the objective reasons why he established the pagan pantheon, dissolved it just eleven years later, and ultimately tipped the scales in favor of Christianity.
