The Synopsis

Jesse intentionally pretends to be a poor day laborer to win the heart of Osvaldo, a kind, working-class Mexican man. A passionate romance quickly sparks between the two men from this initial misunderstanding. Jesse deeply entangles himself in the deception, hiding his true identity to protect the fragile connection.The balance shatters when Florio, Jesse’s codependent best friend, discovers the lie. Feeling excluded and hurt, Florio lets his emotions erupt during a large family dinner hosted by Osvaldo. The confrontation blows Jesse's secret wide open. In the chaotic aftermath, masks fall and long-buried truths rise to the surface.
