The House of Orange was interested in science, culture, and sports; Queen and Prince Hendrik made an appearance at many festivities. An overview of Wilhelmina's life reveals her great interest in the Dutch people. Highlights of her life include her engagement and marriage to Hendrik, the Silver Wedding Anniversary, and the engagement of Juliana and Bernhard.
