The Synopsis

Make Up (2019) is a moody psychological thriller set in a bleak, off-season Cornwall caravan park. The plot follows a teenager named Ruth who becomes obsessed with finding a mysterious woman after discovering a red hair and lipstick stains in her boyfriend’s trailer. Rather than a simple story of infidelity, the film is a "Cornish Gothic" coming-of-age tale where Ruth’s suspicion shifts into a journey of self-discovery and repressed desire. Ultimately, the movie uses the tension of a thriller to explore Ruth's awakening and her evolving sense of identity.
