The Synopsis

Devoted gay son Manuel Espinoza tests an experimental brain modulation device––the Fiat Lux 5000––to reconnect with his dementia-afflicted father, triggering a violent family legacy. A Sci-Fi Drama set in the near future, FIAT LUX 5000 examines notions of Mexican Immigrant identity, caregiving and familial trauma in the face of dubious technological innovations.
