The Synopsis

Shot in 1989 on the island of Rapa Nui, with a wind-up 16mm Bolex camera, this tells the story of "The Islander"; a Moai-headed Easter Island maintenance man who hitches a ride to Los Angeles, where he encounters American fiberglass advertising giants and is chased by Primitive Art Hipsters who want to lop off his head. Winner of the Jury Award, NY Short Film Expo Golden Eagle C.I.N.E. Awards
