In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, a devastating fire destroys the imperial silk destined as tribute to the Xiongnu—a catastrophe that reignites turmoil across the Western Regions. Jiang Yu, an elite emissary of the court, is dispatched under secret decree to investigate the arson and avert a crisis on the frontier.
