Explores the detailed concepts of Ireland and Irish Freedom developed by Patrick Pearse, a leader of the 1916 Irish Rebellion, visiting the places his writing developed -- St. Enda's school in Rathfarnham, Dublin, and his cottage in Rosmuc, Connemara -- and the issues to which he was committed, and which still dominate Irish life: language, the role of the Church, Northern Ireland, and education.
