The Synopsis

In the 1990s, Liu Zhiyong (Shen Teng), a small-time employee at the Meteorological Bureau, epitomizes the group of self-seeking intellectuals, but is instead a rebel in the iron rice bowl. Growing up in a patriarchal family, he always thought he could make a name for himself. It is at this time that Liu Zhiyong receives an invitation from a close friend to go to Xihai.
