The Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, Ming is a young boy from a low income family who has to care for his ill, bedridden mother. He works part-time at a local bakery whose business is badly affected and is on the verge of shutting down. Upon reaching home, Ming learns that Ma had passed away in her sleep.
